FAQ

Questions?

What is MOVE + POWER?

MOVE + POWER is our strength-focused Reformer class, combining traditional Pilates with strength training elements. Expect heavier springs, slower reps, and the use of props like kettlebells, BOSU balls, dumbbells, and resistance bands.

Is this class beginner-friendly?

This class is best suited for clients with some Reformer experience. That said, if you’re newer and feeling confident, our instructors can offer modifications and help you get set up for success.

What equipment will we use?

In addition to the Reformer, you’ll use strength-building tools like the BOSU ball, Bala weighted bars, resistance bands, kettlebells, and more. All equipment is provided.

Will this class still feel like Pilates?

Absolutely. While we increase the load and intensity, the movement is still rooted in Pilates principles - core engagement, alignment, control, and breath.

Can I take this class if I have joint sensitivities?

Yes, but be sure to let your instructor know ahead of time. MOVE + POWER is low-impact and joint-friendly by design, but we’re always happy to offer modifications and ensure you're moving safely.

What makes this different from traditional strength training?

MOVE + POWER combines the precision of Pilates with resistance-based strength work. You’ll move intentionally with control, not momentum, building balanced strength without the bulk or strain of traditional lifting.

What should I wear or bring?

Grip socks and water are all you need. Wear supportive, sweat-friendly activewear that allows full range of motion.

How often should I take MOVE + POWER?

1–3 times per week is ideal if you’re looking to build muscular endurance, boost overall strength, and complement other Pilates or cardio-based classes.

How can I sign up?

Book online or through Workshop app. MOVE + POWER fills up quickly, so we recommend reserving your spot in advance!
